TIPS ON TAMWORTH
Line Dance Competition Tips
- ALWAYS read through the rules carefully. If there's anything you're not sure of, contact the organiser or ask another competitor.
- Provide a back-up copy of your music and hand it to the Music Director with your original copy.
- When dancing in a duo, trio or team, ensure your belts, buckles, hats, boots etc all match. And it's usually good sense to have your hat and boots in matching colours.
- Ladies, it may be hot, but sheer to the waist pantyhose give a much nicer look, and are usually essential for CWDI competition. And remember to wear sensible dance pants over the top of your pantyhose - not boxers.
- Competition days can be very long for the competitor. Ensure you drink plenty of fluids so as not to dehydrate. A hand-held fan is also a good idea when not in air-conditioned premises.
- Keep a close watch on the competition timetable. There are a lot of competitors, and the programme must be strictly adhered to, so don't miss your chance to compete by being late!
