The Beat's former editor until June 2005, Joanne was a long time competitor and children's instructor.
She regularly visited Tamworth and various competitions around New Zealand to
report back to readers on latest developments in the line dance
scene. Appropriately a Special Recognition Award recipient, Joanne now brings The Beat subscribers and readers throughout NZ and overseas the latest
Country Music Gossip and Releases.

Blenheim instructor Judith Cootes along with Bill Marsh regularly
brings us the "GOURMET COUNTRY" news fresh from the top of
the South Island. Judith and Gourmet Country Linedancers
host one of the biggest line dance weekends on the South Island and
these are well supported by those on the other side of the Cook
Strait and they in turn support those groups throughout the year

Maurice is a popular teacher in the Waikato region. Maurice regularly
brings us "WAIKATO WHISPERS", updating us on the latest happenings
in his area. A promoter of New Zealand choreography through
the Great Waikato Choreography Competition which in 2008 celebrated
it's 10th Anniversary. Maurice was a Special Recognition Award
recipient in 2008.

Gordon has
been voted
International Workshop Instructor of the Year for the last three
years at The Beat Awards. Gordon holds a regular workshop in
Wellington in September and dancers come from all over NZ to attend.
His choreography is danced and respected worldwide. Gordon
also organises Line Dance Cruise Holidays and trips.

Bill is well known to many New Zealanders, being an ex Kiwi himself.
Having brought us a little sunshine from Queensland's coast he moved
to Perth, Western Australia. It's from here that we get the
news from "WAY OUT WEST". Bill is a respected judge and
is often invited to return home for the Big Linedance Competition
events to be on the judging panel.

Stephen is well known to dancers throughout New Zealand and Australia.
Stephen originally taught in Ashburton before moving to Melbourne.
An accomplished choreographer and workshop instructor he has
personality plus and supplies articles to The Beat from time to
time. In 2009, Stephen will be the emcee and workshop
instructor at The Beat Awards hosted by the Aoraki Region.

Tamworth (NSW)
Chris has become a mentor for many young dancers
both in Australia and New Zealand, and brings us regular updates on happenings
with "DARE 2 DANCE" from his home in Tamworth.
Chris also host the big linedance events in Tamworth and line dance
cruises and trips through his travel company.

Jan was the
inaugural winner on the International column of the year award for
2007, with her "GIRL TALK".
